Top 5 Early Insights @ Rosehill Gardens

Pride's challenge - Jo Pride's Target in Sight could beat Deep Field this weekend

The full Race Guides for Coolmore Classic day at Rosehill Gardens will be on-line Friday at 8am, including Form, Comments and The Race Guide's Profiler for each galloper.

Getting the edge is what it is all about, helping you to know if your horse is the right one for the conditions on the day.

Until then, The Race Guide's Analyst team have listed their Top 5 Early Insights.

1 - A Hot Race

The popular Hawkes trained sprinter DEEP FIELD lines up in Race 2 and is very short in early markets. He will be tough to beat, but will need to overcome a lot of early pressure from some horses with serious early speed.

It won't be a walk in the park.

Big, tough guy - Deep Field will need to dig deep to win this weekend

2 - Prefers the Country

If the track is dry at Rosehill Gardens, it usually suits horses with more power that can accelerate and speed home in the straight.

The athletic COUNTRYMAN usually prefers tougher track conditions, like Royal Randwick or Warwick Farm.

Don't be surprised if he isn't quite up to his best in Race 5.

An athletic type - Countryman performs better at Warwick Farm and Royal Randwick

3 - More Aggressive This Time?

Looking at the riding tactics on stable-mates Contributer and HARTNELL in the Chipping Norton Stakes, you could argue that only one horse was in the race to win.

The expensive colt got the prize on that occasion.

He's not around to stop the talented young gelding this time in Race 6.

His turn this time - Hartnell will be very hard to beat this weekend

4 - A Genuine 'Turn-of-Foot'

Don't wait until after the race to complain about a slow tempo, think about which horses will enjoy it before the race is even run.

ZIN ZAN EDDIE has a better 'turn-of-foot' than most of the others in Race 1, and ABDUCTION could surprise a few and sprint into a place in Race 7.

5 - Our New First Lady

Not often do you profile a galloper, review the form and come back with hardly any weaknesses.

FIRST SEAL is primed to step into the limelight as The Championships approach.

She is one serious filly and can win the Coolmore Classic.

A new champion? - First Seal has been compared to champion mare Sunline
