Get the Big Value with CrownBet Bonus Bets this weekend

1 - Can Get Excited!

Anyone that watched the win of FONTEIN RUBY last start would have enjoyed the excitement of the filly kicking back to beat JURASOUND after she looked destined to be beaten.

When she's on song, she's almost impossible to run past! But that doesn't mean she's the most reliable type...

As a filly that can 'over-race' and be unsettled, the big field and some early pressure don't look ideal.

Especially at the short odds of $3.60 in the Schweppes Oaks.

She's good, if she settles - Fontein Ruby will need a smart ride to get her home

2 - A Proper 'Each-way' Bet

Not all horses are good each-way bets, especially those that are a bit 'risky'.

In the Group One William Hill Classic at Morphettville, AVOID LIGHTNING, VAIN QUEEN and POLITENESS all need luck from their wide barriers, while GREGERS can sometimes 'turn-it-up' and drop out of high pressure races.

That's not the case for tough, genuine and reliable types MIRACLES OF LIFE ($5w / $2p) and PLATELET ($11w / $3.4p) though.

They are the type of gallopers each-way tickets are made for.

Puts her heart into it - Miracles of Life is a tough and consistent sprinter

3 - Here Comes the Rain Again

Rain is forecast for Sydney and the Hawkesbury region (again!), starting from Friday lunch-time.

It's unfortunate for the Provincial race club on their feature day, but it means that smart punters can strike early as soon as the first drop falls.

Big priced wet-trackers such as SCORPIO QUEEN, MISSVONN and PROPER MADAM could get things off to a flyer in Race 1.

Not to mention MY SABEEL later on in Race 5, a mare that qualifies for the title of 'Sydney's best swimmer'!

Skips through the wet - My Sabeel will be hard to beat if the rain comes

4 - Built to Carry 'Kegs'

A big weight can put you off backing a horse you like, those couple of extra kilograms often making the difference between a hard-luck story and a collect.

Don't be too shy following up on COUNTERATTACK and BACHMAN though.

They are two impressive-looking horses with more strength than most.

Promising youngster - Counterattack can still win with the big weight

5 - Watch out for Flashing Lights

The Hawkesbury Gold Cup is a great race to pick through, with many horses coming through the same lead-up race won by RUGGED CROSS.

It's easy to be impressed by the horses that flashed home that day, including the winner, SAN DIEGO and MONTON.

But give extra points to the three horses that did all the work near the lead on a deteriorating Randwick track.

STRAWBERRY BOY, MEDCAUT and ECUADOR all produced big efforts and might be harder to run down this time.

Hard to run down - Ecuador will push forward from barrier 12
