Progressive type - Young filly Progressive is one of many talented three-year-olds at Canterbury today

Winter Midweek Racing heads to Canterbury Park this week on a drying SOFT track.

As we get late into the racing season the three-year-olds start to take on the older horses. It's a good time to follow the better youngsters as they progress through the grades.

BRACTEATE, ELECTRIFYIN' and SHADOW LORD will all be hard to hold out in Race 3, while PROGRESSIVE is looking to prove she is exactly that in Race 5.

Perhaps the classiest youngster of the day lines up in Race 6, Waller's LIBERTY ISLAND stepping out over 1250m after being scratched on the weekend.

And there are more three-year-old challengers in Race 7 - MAKEADANE, DOUBLE HAPPY and EASY DRAMA all shape as winning chances.
