No. 1 Enough Speed?

The Jeep Australia Stakes is the highlight of the weekend, classy types REBEL DANE, HUCKLEBUCK and TRUST IN A GUST resuming from a spell against the in-form DURENDAL.

There is some support for the Group One placed RAGEESE too, an athletic type of galloper that has never won over six furlongs before.

His first-up run in The Rosebud last campaign suggests there are real concerns over his natural speed.

 HUCKLEBUCK at $8

Leaner type - Rageese doesn't shape as an obvious 1,200 metre sprinter

No. 2 Bold Assessment

Royal Randwick Race 4 could be the ideal race for BOLD CIRCLE to notch up his fourth win this weekend. He enjoys a genuine tempo, small field, racing at Royal Randwick, racing second-up and doesn't mind the sting out of the track too!

Now it's just up to trainer David Payne to present him in shape and young James Innes Jnr to steer him home.

BOLD CIRCLE at $5.5

Ticks all the boxes - Bold Circle has found the right race at Royal Randwick

No. 3 Navigating the Times

Waller's PIONEERING is a warm favourite in Royal Randwick Race 6 and it's easy to see why.

The three-year-old Benchmark 72 she comes from was 5 to 6 lengths faster that the all-aged Benchmark 70 competitors PICO TURQUINO and MYDREAM raced in on the same day.

She's a tough wet tracker that will be very hard to hold out.

PIONEERING at $2.9

Super genuine filly - Pioneering has shown real determination in all her races

No. 4 The Three 'R's'

Looking for horses that will relish the return to The Valley this weekend in Melbourne; RADICAL (Race 6), ROLL THE IGNITION (Race 8) and RIB EYE (Race 9) are all very good chances.

The first two have strong records at the tight-turning track, while the bold on-pacer RIB EYE will be hard to shake from up on the speed.

RADICAL at $3.9

ROLL THE IGNITION at $8.5

RIB EYE at $9

Rad man - The Peter Moody trained Radical only just missed second-up

No. 5 Wet Wet Wet

As this was written on Thursday evening the rain was coming down in Sydney. With more rain forecast a SOFT to HEAVY surface is likely.

That's good news for ZIN ZAN EDDIE (Race 3), MYDREAM (Race 6), PIONEERING (Race 6) and the very one-paced MR STEAL (Race 9). Don't be surprised if they all firm in the market as the track gets softer.

ZIN ZAN EDDIE at $7

MYDREAM at $15

PIONEERING at  $2.9

MR STEAL at $9

Loves the mud - Mydream could be a threat to Pioneering on a wet Randwick track
