Group One Engine? - First Seal winning second-up last preperation by a big margin

No. 1 Box Seat Benefits

Jo Pride's duo of ADORABEEL in Randwick Race 4 and BALL OF MUSCLE in Randwick Race 8 are two very consistent types that have drawn the inside barrier.

They are both primed to deliver their best and will be very hard to keep out of a place.

Betting early on the place market could be a smart move.

Bet on ADORABEEL and BALL OF MUSCLE both to place now at $4.4

No. 2 Second-up Sprint

There's a few question marks over most runners in the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes (Randwick Race 5)

Can OUR BOY MALACHI see out the 1,300 metres? Will KERMADEC and CRITERION be wound up enough first-up? Is FIRST SEAL at her best second-up after a long break?

At least we know FIRST SEAL has won well second-up before. Her Surround Stakes victory last preperation was dominant and she has the turn-of-foot needed to win.

Bet on FIRST SEAL at $2.75

No. 3 Fighting Fillies

The colts and geldings in the Fireball Stakes (Randwick Race 6) will have a tough time against a bunch of fighting fillies.

TAKEDOWN (is 1,100 metres too short?), FURNACES (wide barrier) and KING'S TROOP (out of form) could drift in the market on race day.

The lightweight fillies KANGARILLA JOY (rock solid form), TEMPT ME NOT (better back in distance), EGYPTIAN SYMBOL (big talent) and LADY SNIPER (good trials) are all great each-way bets.

Bet on TEMPT ME NOT at $15, EGYPTIAN SYMBOL at $5.5 and LADY SNIPER at $10

No. 4 Speaking English?

Gai Waterhouse hasn't trained a place-getter in the two main Randwick 1,000 metre sprints in the last 10 years, the Challenge Stakes and Concorde Stakes in the Spring.

She brings the flying ENGLISH and Group 1 winner SPEAK FONDLY to the Challenge Stakes (Randwick Race 8) on Saturday.

Specialist trainer of sprinters Jo Pride could be a better one to follow.

Bet on BALL OF MUSCLE at $4.8

No. 5 Perfectly Placed

A squeeze in the weights in Randwick Race 9 leaves three sprinting mares as the key chances.

I’VE GOT THE LOOKS, I AM ZELADY and PRIVATE SECRETARY are all guns over the six furlongs and seem very hard to beat.

Bet on I AM ZELADY at $3.8 and PRIVATE SECRETARY at $5

Winning form - I Am Zelady is really hitting her straps now and can win again
