Top 5 Early Insights @ Rosehill Gardens

Published: 24 Mar 2016

Free-striding type - It's Somewhat is very strongly favoured ahead of tomorrow's Neville Sellwood Stakes

Rosehill Garden's Carnival wraps up with two Group Ones on Saturday, an epic edition of the Vinery Stakes for the fillies is the highlight along with The BMW over 2,400 metres.

Ahead of the races tomorrow, the Analyst Team have listed their Top 5 Early Insights below.

All odds are provided by our partner CrownBet.

No. 1 - Some Serious Stayers

IT'S SOMEWHAT hasn't stepped up to over a mile since he's been in Australia, but don't let that fool you. He's a serious stayer with Group One form-lines and the ability to 'stick on' right to the line.

The others will have to produce a big run to beat him in the Neville Sellwood Stakes (Race 3).

Bet on IT'S SOMEWHAT now at $2.35

No. 2 - Kiwi Class

The Vinery Stud Stakes (Race 6) has classy Kiwi fillies VALLEY GIRL, CAPELLA and RISQUE lining up. While the first two raced in the NZ Derby, local trainer David Hayes now has RISQUE in his stable and she's progressed very well already this campaign.

A 3rd in the Australian Guineas is enough to give this a big shake!

Bet on RISQUE now at $3.80

No. 3 - Reinforced Form-lines

The two-year-old Shweppervescence (Race 2) is over 1,400 metres and the Golden Slipper winning Snowden stable has a strong hand. Well-bred Snitzel colt REINFORCED didn't seem to be going that well when he won a lowly Wyong maiden by a nose over Chimboraa.

That  was until Chimboraa came out and flew home for 3rd in the Group Two Pago Pago Stakes!

All of a sudden the blue blood could be on the verge of a big pay day.

Bet on REINFORCED now at $7.5

..and have a speck in the Sires Produce at odds too!

No. 4 - Rosehill Power

A dry Rosehill could suit the more powerful types with a good sprint when it matters.

Horses like FEDERAL (Race 1), TARGET IN SIGHT (Race 4) and DANCES ON STARS (Race 9) all have the turn-of-foot to put their races away at decent odds.

Bet on FEDERAL now at $5

No. 5 - Just a Place Chance

SOLICIT is a hard one to beat in the Emancipation Stakes (Race 8) over 1,500 metres, a strong mare that rolls to the lead and keeps lifting in the finish.

Looking for horses that will be suited chasing the favourite, JUST A BLUR is worth a crack at big odds from an inside barrier. She's the type that can sneak into a place.

Bet on JUST A BLUR to place now at $13
