Opening Trades

Back to his best? - Bondeiger could find his Spring Carnival form with new trainer Darren Weir

The markets are open for racing at the Sunshine Coast, Caulfield and Rosehill Gardens this weekend and there's already been some moves. There's been money for DINGHU MOUNTAIN in Sydney, despite him losing the services of Hugh Bowman, while PUCCINI has had some specking at longer odds in the feature Caloundra Cup.

Check out the early trades from the Analyst Team below.

Caloundra Cup

BUY PUCCINI at $13

"He raced keenly at Ipswich, which he can do, so a bigger field and honest tempo around the Sunshine Coast should suit better. Very hard to see him turning the tables on MAURUS, but there are a couple of factors in his favour. Each-way is the early play."

Caulfield Race 2

BUY BONDEIGER at $7

"He was a vey genuine three-year-old at his best and the recent stable switch to Darren Weir could rekindle that form. All the reports are good so he's worth an early speck at the odds."

Rosehill Race 3

BUY GLENBAWN DAME at $3.9

"As far out as Wednesday you can tell this mare is destined to get the peachy run in the box seat. Following FREEZE THE CHARGES is the ideal spot over a 1,100 metre dash, not to mention she's very well weighted on the weekend.

Rosehill Race 3

SELL EL SASSO at $4.4

"This horse doesn't suit the sharp 1,100 metre course at Rosehill, he's a tough type that would prefer 1,200 metres on soft ground at Randwick. Lacks the power and sprint to win."

Rosehill Race 9

BUY CONSIGN at $10

"He sprinted up like a horse in form over 1,800 metres last start before his lack of stamina showed late. Back to 1,500 metres is ideal for a talented miler that has won at both Ascot and Newmarket in the UK."
