Yard to the Post @ Warwick Farm

Race Day: Warwick Farm on Saturday, 08 July 2017

Close finishes and an exciting jockey premiership tussle, the low grade meeting at Warwick Farm today had more excitement than most would have expected.

It all started with a high quality two-year-old race, boom galloper AWESOME PLUCK stuck wide throughout and only going down narrowly to MANICURE, who gave James Cummings his first Godolphin Saturday winner at the first attempt.

Second-placed in the jockeys premiership race, Bowman scored his first winner in Race 3, driving the well-backed stayer SAYED to the line. He went on to sink a big betting plunge on GOLD AMBITION, flying home on LIAPARI from the back in Race 7. OLD NORTH floundering back in the pack in the same race.

Tye Angland started the day on a low note, missing the ride on AWESOME PLUCK due to weight issues, but he ended up with a double too. KINGS OF LEON flew home from the back to win Race 6 and the super tough ISORICH scored a well-deserved win in Race 8.

Full racing reviews will be available again for the Spring Carnival.
