A great contest for the mares with the Darley stable going "all-in" looking for a win to finish off the Snowden era in style. The early scratching of La Pieta leaves four mares to wear the famous maroon and white, with all seeming to have a decent each-way chance in the race. Cameo has enough early pace to cross if she needs to and join the other on-pace horses Cosmic Endeavour, Lilliburlero, Commanding Wit and Chatham House to set up what looks like an honest tempo. It is difficult to know where to start, but a mention must be given to both Lilliburlero and Plucky Belle, who have both paraded in great fashion this campaign and ran without luck last start in the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes. Cosmic Endeavour had all the favours when winning that race, and while she must be in the mix again, it is sure to be a much tougher affair this time. Interesting form lines also come from The Messina Nymph (nice looking filly on upward spiral), Miss Stellabelle (very solid competitor) and Commanding Wit (decent restricted form). An extremely open affair with lots of value on offer.
