An interesting race over 1500m. Early speed from EXCELSIOR up the inside, with BERGERAC (if he jumps well), REIBY RAMPART, MAPMAKER and maybe SURJIN for company (tempo: FAIR). BERGERAC was strong last start over 1400m and held ISLAND MISSILE over the last 50m. A weight turnaround brings them together on ratings, but the extra distance may be in BERGERAC's favour. REIBY RAMPART and TRAVANCORE running honest races last start and sure not to be too far away. Better winning chances probably come from the light-weights down the bottom, EXCELSIOR putting in two big runs this prep and draws the inside. MAPMAKER and IMANUI (only fair lately), big chances on old form, check the yard and market for them. [updated 9:12am]
