A much more even race than the betting suggests with some of the stronger staying two-year olds in Australia lining up for this classic Group 1 1600m contest. The two fillies at the top of the market are very hard to fault, Peggy Jean having won the Sires Produce last start and Veuvelicious coming off a dominant win in an easier field last week. The form lines say that there isn't much between these two and some up-and-coming colts though, and the stronger horses may be better suited to the tough Randwick mile. Bachman, Scratch Me Lucky and Zululand are all tough two-year olds with great form stats of their own. Bachman in particular looks a serious contender after improving every start so far this campaign, he will look more like a three year old in the yard compared to the others. Go Indy Go and Kumaon are also right in the hunt here up to this distance. An intriguing race in which the right 'Type' is vital to picking the winner.
