Only EMBLEY to lead in a SLOW to STEADY 1900m race with plenty of similar lead-up form. INTERLOCUTER has been very good this prep, beating BLACK ON GOLD and DARK EYES over 1800m last time out. BLACK ON GOLD was far from disgraced that day on SOFT ground and has won since (beating NEW TIPPERARY). All signs point towards INTERLOCUTER with probably more improvement to come, but he'll need to step up again as there's weight swings that make it a little bit tight on pure ratings.The small field could make it a messy race too. Don't dismiss PRINCE CHERI (improving for new trainer) and EMBLEY (best of on-pacers last start) totally either. [updated 8:27am]
