One of a few wide open races towards the end of the day, as you'd expect for a 1200m fillies and mares sprint. Tempo from IN TIMES OF WAR, ANATOLA and perhaps PURRARI near the pace (tempo: FAIR to STEADY). Lots of similar form, IN TIMES OF WAR, MACHINEGUN JUBS and SECRET TRAIL (1200m a risk, but can sprint off steady speed) all set a good mark to beat. Really not many you can knock though; SUSPENDERS is tough (nice trials), ANATOLA can bounce back (heat striess), KAWAIKINI has a big sprint (hoping for firm track) and of course SUGAR BELLA (stepping up in grade) can produce a big finish. PURRARI didn't look great in trials and O'RACHAEL trialed OK, but seems to be a horse that needs some tempo. PURRARI Blinkers OFF AGAIN. [updated 8:35am]
