Plenty of favourites drawn wide here, AVILIUS not too bad after a another big Aussie win last start, but is there a slight chink in his armour? He's got plenty of upside to go on with it, we just want to see him surge late when the tempo is honest over 2000m (has had two slow tempos this prep). I AM SERIOUS right alongside him last start and in the mix, along with SEDANZER (rock solid), ALWARD (great each-way), LIBRAN, and BRIMHAM ROCKS. BIG DUKE (not asked first-up), SATONO RASEN (held up last start), EMPEROR'S WAY (better back to dry) and PATRICK ERIN all value chances with a legitimate hope. Another wide open leg to the Quaddie.
