No Winx this time - Hauraki is one of the early favourites for the Group 1 Epsom Handicap this weekend

The nominations for huge weekend of racing are now online. Action kicks off early with the running of the Group 1 Moir Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night, which sees the return of star sprinter CHAUTAUQUA. The Group 2 Stutt Stakes, Group 2 Stocks Stakes for mares and Group 3 JRA Cup are also on the same night.

On Saturday Royal Randwick takes centre stage for Group 1 Epsom and Metropolitan Day. Godolphin and Waller hold a strong hand in the big spring handicap mile The Epsom, HAURAKI taking on MACKINTOSH, MCCREERY and TORGERSEN.

A long weekend and the AFL Grand Final sees Melbourne's feature meeting move to Sunday with the running of the Group 1 Turnbull, a race in which talented mare JAMEKA will try to prove her last start dominance was no fluke.
