The raiders have landed - UK galloper Sir Isaac Newton warms up ahead of his Caulfield Cup tilt

The excitement of Spring racing is here! Caulfield Cup day looms large and Royal Randwick keeps the good racing going with some Listed and Group-level racing.

Dry tracks and great racing info (... hopefully some from us!) has kept the bookies on the back foot over the last few weeks. With GOOD tracks forecast this weekend, it could be another 'fill-up' for the punters!

No. 1 Two Furlongs Too Far?

"Looking at the overseas horses in the Caulfield Cup, it's hard to dismiss any of them, but there is a slight question on SCOTTISH and ARTICUS. Both are a slight risk at 2,400 metres based on recent runs, SCOTTISH a keen-going on-pacer and ARTICUS a muscular 2,000 metre type with a good sprint. A slight leaning to EXOSPHERIC and SIR ISAAC NEWTON out of the four."

Bet on EXOSPHERIC at $13 and SIR ISAAC NEWTON at $14

No. 2 Power to Strike

"The Group 3 Nivision looks like a tactical race on paper without too many on-pacers engaged. That could leave it to the mare with the biggest finishing sprint to take it out and EGYPTIAN SYMBOL rates on top for power."

Bet on EGYPTIAN SYMBOL now at $2.7

No. 3 All-up from the Front

"It's very hard to see FABRIZIO getting run down in Race 2 at Randwick and BULLRUSH gets control of Race 5 too. Betting early on the all-up could pay dividends if leaders are racing well on the day."

Bet on FABRIZIO and BULLRUSH to win at $4.2

No. 4 Sydney Form

"Horses from north of the border are winning most of the features at Caulfield and the same could continue on Saturday. MORTON'S FORK (Race 2) and VANBRUGH (Race 6) are two of many that will be very hard to beat."

Bet on MORTON'S FORK at $4 and VANBRUGH at $5.5

No. 5 Go the Rocket!

"Rockhampton's favourite galloper OUR BOY MALACHI put in a massive run first-up when stuck wide at Randwick and deserves a Group One win before his career is over. He'll have to settle for a Group Two on Saturday though in a suitable 1,000 metre scamper."

Bet on OUR BOY MALACHI now at $5.5
