Finally, we’re left with the question that many punters don’t think about. Do you want a horse that is ‘risky’ or not. It may have never raced over the distance, hasn’t run for a while or simply has up-and-down form.

Remember, it’s as hard for the bookies to price a risky horse as it is for punters!
