The Rosehill course this weekend is in the “Damp” to “Soggy” range (..aren’t they the new ratings?), meaning that some value can be found looking for ponies that love cut in the track.

The Bookie Battler as always has his eye firmly on the prices and he lists a few hopes below at big value.

Race 3 - Surge Ahead / $3.80

"OK, so he might not be the biggest price, but he is big! Cummings doesn't muck around and he is sure to have this bloke ready to go second-up. Collett will serve it up to them from the turn and let his class do the talking."

Race 5 - Kaypers /  $9

"You don't go broke backing ponies that try their heart out. Tye Angland doesn't muck around and love the combo of him and this tough-guy. Got to love those odds. I'm on."

Fights hard - Kaypers rarely puts in a bad race

Race 6 - Faust / $13

"This guy might just beat up on them if they give him half a chance. Love an on-pacer at Rosehill and he handles the mud no worries. The big price on offer might not last."

Big, strong and good value - Faust is a bold on-pace type

Race 7 - Perfect Weapon / $12

"Not usually an each-way punter, but with the shortie in this race I might have to tick the "place" box for once. He will chase Vashka as hard as he can, I wouldn't want to have this big-engined weapon right on my tail!"
