Will the straight suit? - Ball of Muscle tackles the straight for the first time

Flemington racing this week is a great support card for all The Championships action in Sydney.

Up and coming 3yo stayers take the next step out to 2,500 metres for the first time, the Listed Galilee Series Final in Race 7, with only those with the best stamina sure to be fighting out the finish. Some promising types in ONCIDIUM RULER, GENERAL JAMES, MANAPINE and ALL I SURVEY head a field of 11 runners.

Lexus Stakes winner, and Melbourne Cup 4th place getter, SIGNOFF, resumes in Race 8 and carries the top weight under handicap conditions. He will have his work cut out to chase the likes of the in form THE BOWLER, the classy GIRL IN FLIGHT, and Chris Waller's SILVERBALL over the mile.

BALL OF MUSCLE (pictured) travels south of the border to tackle the straight for the first time taking on noted speedster FAB FEVOLA in Race 5.

With cooler temperatures and sunny skies predicted, Flemington is expected to be racing on a GOOD surface.
