A bold front-runner - Zatopaz travels down from Sydney for the VRC St Leger over 2,800 metres

The Listed $200,000 VRC St Leger - Race 6 - is the feature race on the program, with talented 3yos tackling the grueling 2,800 metre journey. In true Anzac Spirit, the Kiwis have sent GIFTED  LAD across the seas to take on the Aussie brigade led by the likes of ALL I SURVEY and Sydney visitors COLOUR OF MONEY, ZATOPAZ and GENERAL ZABEEL.

With all runners stepping up to this distance for the first time, stamina and endurance will be the key in fighting out the finish.

The Listed Anzac Day Stakes - Race 2 - sees the 2yos step up to 1,400 metres, most for the first time. It will be a test of late season improvement for the likes of LIZARD ISLAND, MORE THAN MOST and MY POPETTE as they stretch out in distance.

Another staying event, the Anzac Centenary Cup - Race 4 - sees a re-match between CRAFTY CRUISER, RAWNAQ and MARTINVAST. The tall and lean SABOR A TRIUNFO and tough little SHOREHAM add Group 3 Easter Cup form to a very competitive race.

The track is rated a Good 4 as of Friday morning, however showers are forecast tonight and into tomorrow so monitor the weather.
