The Right Types @ Rosehill

Dominant force - Rain Affair changes the complexion of any race he lines up in

Winter dew and a few showers has kept Rosehill Gardens in the SOFT range, a typical winter track for an off-season card of races.

The quality is good though, with ALEGRIA, ECUADOR, INTIMATE MOMENT, RAIN AFFAIR, AERONAUTICAL and KAEPERNICK all lining up.

This week, The Race Guide's Horse Expert tries to find gallopers suited to the conditions.

Race 2 - BUBBLES'N'BOATS $8.5

"She has good power in her frame and might have a better top speed than these stayers. Has a good hope."

Better top speed? - Bubble'n'Boats is a strong Fastnet Rock galloper

Race 4 - INTIMATE MOMENT $5

"She is a lovely mare with size and strength. Rosehill 1800m seems ideal for a well-deserved breakthrough. My favourite."

Deserves a win - Intimate Moment finds the right race today

Race 5 - AMOVATIO $4.80

"Seems to be getting better with age. He has enough power to produce a nice turn-of-foot and catch Rain Affair."

Classy galloper - Amovatio keeps progressing through the grades

Race 6 - KAEPERNICK $2.80

"His pure power is so well suited to the Rosehill 1200m. A drier track to last start could only be a plus."

Rapid speed - Kaepernick has the power to produce rapid closing sections

Race 7 - LUNAR RISE $9

"A lovely type of galloper that will thrive under the care of the Cummings team. He has a touch of class."

Can improve again - Lunar Rise is third-up today at Rosehill Gardens
