  • Marenostro – passing the 250m Grande Punto had to be directed in away from the heels of Hollywood Bound (B Shinn), which shifted in. • Hollywood Bound – when questioned regarding the improved performance, as compared to its last 6th of 12 at Randwick on 20 June 2015, stable representative L Prior stated that on that occasion the gelding was unsuited on the Heavy (10), drawing the inside barrier, and what he considered to be the inferior part of the track. He added the gelding's best performances have been where he has been able to make his run uninterrupted and, with the early speed today, conditions were run to suit.
  • Eisenhower – when questioned, D Beasley stated his intentions had been to lead, but with a solid pace early he took up a position racing to the outside of Off The Rails. He added that when the pace then steadied, after Off The Rails crossed rounding the first turn, Eisenhower commenced to pull and did not finish the race off. He undertook to report if there is anything amiss with the gelding subsequent to the race.
