Battler's Big Value @ Rosehill Gardens

Published: 17 Jul 2015

Strapping type that loves the rail - Grande Punto draws the pole on his favourite track

With consistent rain during the week, very HEAVY conditions are in order at Rosehill Gardens, so it's time to find some real mudlarks that will put themselves into the race at odds.

It could be the setting for a few big value results...

As always, The Race Guide's Bookie Battler has a candid look at some chances at odds.

Race 2 - DUCCIO $20

"This bloke graduated from Waterhouse's tough-guy school with honours. I'm on at the odds."

Tough horse - Duccio could roll forward and take control

Race 4 - SENSE AND REASON $10

"Surely ol' man Schofield and Waller can show some sense. Don't drag this girl back this time Glyn! Taking the value."

No bias today ? - Had the NEAR RAILS bias against last start

RACE 5 - CASUAL CHOICE $4.80

"Fresh from a week on the plonk for Bastile Day, I reckon Huet can sink one more Shiraz. I'm on this tough-guy."

Getting fitter - Casual Choice enjoys a wet Rosehill

RACE 7 - RUGGED CROSS $9

"This little battler races like Chris Rogers bats.. tough and scrappy. That'll do me at the value. I'm on."

Can quicken into race - Rugged Cross is racing at his peak

RACE 8 - GRANDE PUNTO $4.60

"Big value for a big horse that loves to barge up the inside. It'll take a lot to stop him. Getting on."

Will be charging along the rails - Grande Punto is in the mix from an inside gate
