Deserving winner - Respected trainer Ron Quinton got his first city double today
Caulfield stole most of the attention today for the running of the Group Three Bletchingly Stakes, a race in which much-maligned sprinter LORD OF THE SKY pulled up lame.
After the race, the horse received a tirade of abuse on social media. One of the funnier comments is shown below.
At Canterbury, a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful sunny weather made for a great day track-side. The set-up of the course sees trainers, jockeys and the media mix with the public in front of the mounting yard.
