Laidback Larry the first of the 'good horses'

The talented Gai Waterhouse galloper Laidback Larry returns on Saturday to take on the Shoot Out Handicap over 1600m first-up. His trials have been strong, the most recent being a win over talented stable-mate Ecuador.

Given the bold way he races the event looks a lot more interesting with his inclusion, and hopefully this is just the start of the 'good horses' returning with the Spring just a couple of months away.

The trials at Warwick Farm on Friday morning included some classy gallopers, such as:

• CHATEAU LAFAITE - Winner of HEAT 1
• BULL POINT - 2nd in HEAT 2
• LASER HAWK - 4th in HEAT 3
