Horse of the Week: Decision Time
Published: 26 Aug 2015
Emotional tale - The patience of Clarry Conners was rewarded with Decision Time's win last Saturday
It was a win that not many expected, but it did't come as a surprise to jockey Christian Reith. The rider of eight-year-old DECISION TIME remarked on how well the horse looked in the yard and the 'old boy' performed right up to his appearance winning the Show County Quality at Royal Randwick in sizzling time.
Those that backed him were rewarded with the big odds of 30/1, but those that didn't wouldn't have begrudged a story that brought trainer Clarry Conners to tears.
Over 700 days after he last visited the winner's enclosure, following two tendon injuries, DECISION TIME's win is worthy of this week's Horse of the Week.
