Horse of the Week: Magic Hurricane

Published: 01 Sep 2015

Job well done - Magic Hurricane gets a pat from his strapper after winning on Saturday

Godolphin started their charge towards the Spring last Saturday, getting the better of the Waller stable in the two feature races.

All the talk on the day was about EXOSPHERE's win in the Run to the Rose, but you have to give credit to Premier's Cup winner MAGIC HURRICANE too.

The muscular son of Hurricane Run picked up and chased down Silverball, a horse the Waller stable has a big opinion of. Their duel down the long Rosehill straight brought the crowd to their feet, both gallopers stretching out and sprinting clear of the pack.

There's no quality in a thoroughbred more important than a genuine will to win, making his effort on Saturday worthy of this week's Horse of the Week.
