Top 5 Early Insights @ Rosehill Gardens

Early value - Kingdoms is $7.5 to win the Colin Stephen Quality this weekend

It is hard for the bookies to set a market with any confidence in Sydney this weekend. Changing weather, mixed form-lines and improving gallopers is a recipe for value if you can find the right horse.

The Race Guide's Analyst team have provided their Top 5 Early Insights for Rosehill Gardens below.

1 - A Lot of Ones

MR ONE ELEVEN lines up in Race One over 2,000 metres, a distance he failed at third-up last preparation when well-backed at 5/1.

Winona Costin was too aggressive that day, making the big-striding gelding race without cover on a strong pace.

Josh Parr will be more patient this time and save up his good finishing burst.

Early market for Rosehill Race 1. Suggested bets in bold.

A 'one' next to his name? - Mr One Eleven has a good winning chance this weekend

2 - Bowman's Statement

The Stan Fox Stakes over 1,500 metres is an open and shut case on paper.

After a very unlucky run in the Golden Rose, PRESS STATEMENT is expected to atone with Hugh Bowman taking over from Tye Angland.

Early market for Rosehill Race 2. Suggested bet in bold.

Very hard to beat - Press Statement could be great value, even at the short price

3 - Royal Ratings

The Colin Stephen Quality has a compressed weight scale thanks to some early nominations that didn't accept in the final field.

That leaves the Queenslander KINGDOMS very well placed on just 1.5kg above most of his rivals.

Early favourite AMELIE'S STAR should be getting 12 kg less in weight based on ratings!

Early market for Rosehill Race 3. Suggested bet in bold.

The class in the field - Kingdoms finds the perfect race third-up this weekend

4 - Position 'A'

The Golden Pendant for the mares sets up as a match race between the two grey mares CATKINS and ARABIAN GOLD.

Tommy Berry takes the ride on the new Waterhouse recruit (ARABIAN GOLD) and the race sets up perfectly for him.

He could find the box seat from barrier one, cut up the inside (she handles the wet well) and pinch a break on Waller's CATKINS.

Early market for Rosehill Race 6. Suggested bet in bold.

Box seat - Arabian Gold is the testing material for Catkins this weekend

5 - No More Mixing Drinks

Chris Waller has taken a while to get a good read on his powerful mare WINE TALES, mixing her distances to see if she has more speed or stamina.

The Race Guide's Analyst Team had her profiled as a short-course galloper early on, a theory supported by her recent performances.

Expect 1,400 metres at Rosehill Gardens to become her pet distance in the future.

Early market for Rosehill Race 8. Suggested bets in bold.

Power to sprint - Wine Tales will relish the step back in distance this weekend
