Horse of the Week: Peeping

Published: 28 Sep 2015

Now a Group 2 winner - Peeping bounces back from cardiac arrhythmia to take out the Golden Pendant

The high's and low's of racing were again on show at Rosehill on Saturday, with trainer Ron Quinton smiling again after his bonny mare PEEPING was back to winning ways after suffering heart arrhythmia in the Sheraco Stakes a fortnight ago.

Quinton stated, "the right horses can come back from it", and reports from the stable were positive without being confident in the lead up. However it was the horse that did the rest on race day, pulling out at the top of the straight to run down gallant leader Two Blue and claim the $400,000 Golden Pendant.

The win of PEEPING was the start of a Group 2 winning double for jockey Sam Clipperton, for a trainer who helped him to the stage he is at now in the senior riding ranks, and no doubt one of his most memorable achievements in his career thus far.

For showing the strength in bouncing back from her heart troubles, PEEPING is our Horse of the Week.
