A class above? - Press Statement has been ultra-impressive in the Sydney lead-up races

One of Caulfield's great meetings is upon us, highlighted by the stallion-making Caulfield Guineas (Race 9) in which Sydney glamour colt PRESS STATEMENT dominates the market. He draws wide and has to handle the Melbourne way of going, but has the right form-lines to win again.

The fillies lines up in the Thousand Guineas (Race 8) and we're all hoping for a more honest tempo this time helping after many 'forgive' runs from the slowly run Atlantic Jewel Stakes. 

Two other Group One's highlight the card, with some of the country's best Weight-For-Age performers engaged, including FAWKNER and KERMADEC in the Caulfield Stakes (Race 6), while the tough STRATUM STAR and promising DISPOSITION are ready to peak over the mile in the Toorak Handicap (Race 7).

Arguably one of the world's best sprinters LANKAN RUPEE makes his Spring return in the Group 2 Schillachi Stakes over 1,200 metres (Race 2) and the Melbourne Cup hopefuls put it all on the line in the Group 2 Herbert Power over 2,400 metres (Race 5).
