Oaks winner - Jameka was too strong after getting a nice on-pace run
Rain during the meeting today at Flemington made the Oaks a real test for the three-year-old fillies over the 2,500 metries.
The two superior stayers scored the Quinella, JAMEKA surging clear from on-pace to hold off the fast finishing HONESTA, who delivered an impressive final furling.
AMBIENCE had loomed on the turn, but wasn't strong enough to beat home the top two and there was a big gap back to PASADENA GIRL in fourth.
One of the favourites, SACRED EYE, drifted alarmingly in the market and was stuck out three-wide with no cover before fading for seventh.
