On the rise - Happy Clapper is nominated to take on Group Two company this weekend
There are a total of 26 nominations for the Group Two Villiers Stakes this weekend over the famous Royal Randwick mile. The highest rated gallopers are Godolphin's IT'S SOMEWHAT (104) and Waller's I'M IMPOSING (104), who both finished behind MIGHTY LUCKY in the Festival Stakes at Rosehill Gardens.
ZANBAGH ran on very strongly for 4th in that race and will be hoping for some rain before the weekend, which could come on Wednesday with up to 4mm forecast.
Other interesting entries include HAPPY CLAPPER, FRESPANOL, PEACE FORCE and GOD'S IN HIM. See below for the full list of nominations.
At Flemington, Open Handicaps over 1,200, 1,400 and 2,000 metres highlight the card. In-form gallopers DURENDAL, SECOND BULLET and DAN ZEPHYR are nominated, while trainer Darren Weir will be looking to wield his magic once again with new recruit HONORIUS.
Check back in on Wednesday for the Form Guides and Friday 9am for full Race Guides.
