Saturday Racing @ Caulfield

Gets cover this time - Yellen gets the chance to take a trail and power home

The rail is out to the +5 metre mark at Caulfield, out another 3 metres from the meeting on Boxing Day where the inside was not the place to be as racing unfolded. With no rain in sight, racing is forecast on a GOOD 3 surface under clear skies.

A small and even field of seven contest the mile in Race 2 with progressive mare KANIANA looking to make it four on end. She will have her work cut out holding off the likes of ANAPHORA and KHUTULUN giving chase, along with YELLEN, a likely improver if she can find cover this time.

TASBEEH and PROFIT SHARE are hard in the market in Race 3, both extending out in trip to 1,800 metres. If there is a chink in their armour Moody's fresh horse on the scene RADICAL will be closing late.

A handicap sprint over 1,200 metres in Race 8 sees DUKE OF BRUNSWICK drop back in distance after going down in the final stride here on Boxing Day. KIEVAAN is flying, while NICOSCENE and TADDEI TONDO both bring in Stakes class form to what looks a competitive race.

Previews on-line Friday 9am.
