Midweek racing today - Canterbury Park is the scene for seven competitive races with Carnival hopefuls engaged

The upcoming Autumn Carnival has brought a lot of the better gallopers back into work and a few are scattered across the Canterbury Park programme today.

Derby hopeful CROSLEY HOTSHOT resumes in Race 5 alongside two promising Godolphin gallopers in ART NOUVEAU and MOHER, while Golden Rose sixth place-getter LET'S MAKE IT RAIN resumes in Race 6.

Another member of the Godolphin team, PAINTED FIRETAIL, continues her Autumn campaign in Race 7 over 1,250 metres.

And a rare 2,700 metre race is run earlier in the day (Race 4), where Bjorn Baker's bold front-runner MR STEAL will try and hold off EMERALD CITY and a trio of Waller stayers.
