Horse of the Week: Turn Me Loose

Published: 29 Feb 2016

Kiwi toughness - Turn Me Loose does all the work near the lead and keeps lifting

Anyone that has watched him, and definitley anyone that has backed him, can see there is something special about the new Kiwi star Turn Me Loose.

His win in the Emirates Stakes last Spring was dominant despite the small margin, racing right up on a testing tempo before fighting bravely to the finish. Most other front-running milers in Australia would have withered to the tail under so much pressure.

And on the weekend the Doncaster Handicap contender made it three Group Ones wins in the Futurity Stakes, settling just off the speed this time before surging to the lead in the straight.

He's one of the big Autumn contenders and an easy choice for Horse of the Week.
