The highlight of the day in Sydney is the Coolmore Classic and it shapes as a three-way battle between AZKADELLIA, SOLICIT and GHISONI. SOLICIT is a strong front-runner that isn't as well weighted this time and GHISONI shapes as the horse that will settle up outside her chasing a solid tempo.

Checking back through the form, the last five horses that took on SOLICIT in the lead have failed.

That could leave it for AZKADELLIA to swoop on them late.

The Flemington 'Straight 6' suits big-striding powerful types that can hold their line and power home. Two that relish the conditions include the two-year-old CONCEALER (Flemington Race 1) and of-course the Darley Classic winner DELECTATION (Flemington Race 6).

Don't dismiss DELECTATION after he found the 1,000 metres too sharp last time.

It's hard to knock the classy Godolphin galloper HARTNELL (Rosehill Race 1), after all he did win the Sky High Stakes last year, the same race he contests on Saturday.

The small query is whether he's in the same form he was a year ago. A couple of the Godolphin horses have gone backwards in their third preperation for O'Shea.
