Horse of the Week: Capitalist
Published: 22 Mar 2016
Classy youngster - Capitalist has proven himself as the best two-year-old in Australia
There wasn't much debate when choosing Horse of the Week this week after one of Sydney's feature races the Golden Slipper.
Winner CAPITALIST was strongly favoured after winning the Magic Millions on the Gold Coast, but a shock defeat to KISS AND MAKE UP in the Todman Stakes had seen his price drift right out.
In the end that defeat proved to be a hiccup in an otherwise perfect career and he streaked clear of the field 200 metres from home. He's stamped himself as the best two-year-old in Australia, a horse with strength, professionalism and a clear will to win.
