Key Factors: The Doncaster

Back for more - Kermadec after winning the Doncaster Mile in 2015
It's a race that never disappoints, this year's Doncaster Mile is another epic contest under handicap conditions.
On form alone there is no doubt that WINX is the best horse in the field, the four-year-old daughter of Street Cry taking all before her in the last 12 months. However, big weights can have a big impact and only SUNLINE and MORE JOYOUS have carried more weight as a mare to win the Doncaster in the last twenty years.

WINX 13
(Form +10 Factors +3)
bet now at $1.90
The best galloper in Australia has the scope to become even better, we still don't know how good this mare is! Just needs to find the right position from barrier 11 to be the one to beat, despite carrying 56.5kg.
HAPPY CLAPPER 12.5
(Form +9 Factors +3.5)
bet now at $11
A serious threat from the Patrick Webster stable, this galloper has a huge finishing surge over the Randwick mile. Very well weighted on 50.5kg and right in the race.
VOLKSTOK'N'BARRELL 12
(Form +10 Factors +2)
bet now at $23
Coming back from 2,000 metres, which is usually fine for The Doncaster, it's very hard to fault the form of this New Zealand multiple Group One winner. Very well placed with only 52.5kg on his back.
KERMADEC 11.5
(Form +9 Factors +2.5)
bet now at $7.5
Last year's winner that produced a great effort to chase home WINX in the Group 1 George Ryder last start. Position in Run is the risk for him from barrier 3 if there is an OFF RAILS bias on the day.
AZKADELLIA 10
(Form +8.5 Factors +1.5)
bet now at $11
She flew home in last year's Group One Myer Classic over the mile and was good when running 2nd in the Group One Coolmore Classic behind Peeping. Shapes as though the Randwick mile will be OK and could get a nice trail behind WINX.
