She's too short - There isn't much value in backing Lady Le Fay early

Markets are open for the second day of The Championships! The rail comes out +6 metres and the track is drying, usually a recipe for a NEAR RAILS bias, but we're hoping for a fair surface after winners were coming out wide last week (Chautauqua was out under the arches!).

The Analyst Team has a crack at finding some early 'buys' and 'sells' that could set you up for a big weekend before it's even begun.

All odds provided by our partner CrownBet.

Randwick Race 1 - Fernhill Handicap

BUY REINFORCED at $3.6

"We know a couple of things about this bloke, his form is very similar to Chimboraa (pushed wide and wayward in Group 1 Sires Produce Stakes) and he was very unlucky last start. Very hard not to like."

Randwick Race 5 - Arrowfield Sprint

BUY GHISONI at $12

"She was another victim of sitting in the 'death seat' outside Solicit in the Coolmore Classic and the market hasn't forgiven her for it. Big odds for a big talent."

Randwick Race 7 - Sydney Cup

SELL ALMOONQITH at $10

"A stayer that can quicken OK, so his run in the Australian Stakes was disappointing and he didn't do much in The BMW over the last 100m. Some punters will be forgiving, we're suggesting that might not be such a good idea."

Sydney Race 8 - Coolmore Legacy Queen Of Turf

SELL LADY LE FAY at $13

"Everyone spotted her flashing home first-up and then the run last start was OK too. Problem is, her form simply isn't up to most of these. Needs to improve and looks too short."

Sydney Race 9 - Queen Elizabeth Stakes

BUY LUCIA VALENTINA at $8

"She's found the right preparation and the right year to win this massive Group One feature. Loves Randwick, soft tracks and should get tempo to suit. You know she'll try her heart out too!"
