Big threat fresh - Sir Bacchus shouldn't be underestimated first-up over 1,200 metres
The day's 'feature race' at Rosehill Gardens this weekend is a lowly BM 85 sprint after we enjoyed Group One racing at Randwick last weekend. On simple ratings alone, the racing has slowed down by about 15 to 20 lengths!
On a good note, there are around 100 acceptors including 24 horses fresh from a spell on Saturday, suggesting the off-season racing will get strong numbers in the coming weeks.
Ahead of The Race Guides going on-line for the nine race card tomorrow morning at 9am, The Analyst Team lists their 'Top 5 Early Insights' below.
All odds provided by our partner CrownBet.
No. 1 Sprint Needed
If Rosehill doesn't get too wet it suits horses with more acceleration and power, the 'one-paced types' tend to struggle on the flat and fast track. In the first race favourite REINCARNATE has a good turn-of-foot, but one of Waller's runners fits the right profile too.
SIR BACCHUS is a compact muscular sprinter that will give this race a big shake.

No. 2 Watch the Weather
All the horses quoted on this page handle good tracks and soft tracks, but if you're betting on others, always factor in the possible weather conditions over the next couple of days.
Storms are now forecast for tomorrow and some showers could remain on Saturday too.
It's hard to predict what kind of surface we will get.
No. 3 Favoured Fillies
Race 5 at Rosehill Gardens is a good level BM 78 for the three-year-olds and three Queensland-bound fillies head the market, FALKENBERG, CHANDANA and IMPOSING LASS.
The feedback from the Analyst Team is that's almost impossible to split the first six in the market. For example, MOHER (an $8 chance) out-sprinted FALKENBERG (the $2.75 favourite) on the 9th March over 1,600 metres and finished alongside her when she fought back. He gets a 1.5kg weight switch on her now too!
Backing the longer-priced chances might be the way to go.
Click to bet on MULTIFACETS $14, MONTAUK $11, MOHER $8 and IMPOSING LASS $4.6
No. 4 Very Well
MUY BIEN (Spanish for 'very well') was given a strange ride by James McDonald last start at Wyong. He took off early and loomed into the race, before pulling her up when things got a bit tight.
The star Kiwi jockey has since ridden her in a 1,200 metre barrier trial where she won very easily.
You can bet he'll be more committed on the mare third-up in Rosehill Race 6.

No. 5 Weighted to Win
The last race at Rosehill Gardens shapes as a closely-fought battle over 1,100 metres with lots of the horses holding similar form-lines to each other.
The exceptions are the two Godolphin runners, GRUNDERZEIT fresh after a break and MOGADOR a classy three-year-old stepping back into benchmark grade. They're weighted to win on just 54.5kg and 56kg respectively.
