No. 1 Roles Reversed
The Group One Doomben 10,000 is the feature race around the country on Saturday and both DOTHRAKI and FELL SWOOP are right in the market. They put in bold efforts in the lead-up BTC Cup where DOTHRAKI had the inside barrier and FELL SWOOP got stuck wide.
This time the Canberra-based sprinter gets the inside draw and he can turn the tables.
Bet on FELL SWOOP now at $5.5
No. 2 Not So Impulsive
Don't wait until 3pm on Friday to decide whether you're backing the boom stayer RAW IMPULSE from the Darren Weir stable, check out The Race Guide for Randwick Race 7 now.
If you're worried about him running 'right-handed' in Sydney after three impressive Melbourne runs, don't be. He finished 2nd to the talented Think Ahead at Salisbury (right-handed like Randwick) in his last UK run back in September.
As long as he stays the 2,400 metres he will be very hard to beat.
Bet on RAW IMPULSE now at $1.55
No. 3 Wonderful Weight
The Highway Handicap on Saturday at Randwick (Race 2) is a good quality affair over 1,100 metres. To put it in perspective, the last Highway Handicap FLASH IN THE DARK ran in three weeks ago had no horses rated above '63' in the benchmark ratings.
WONDERBOLT is a '77' rated galloper with black-type form-lines. He's going to be very hard to beat carrying just 57kg.
Bet on WONDERBOLT now at $3
No. 4 No Luck Needed
MIGHTY LUCKY continues to improve and gets his chance to show how good he is at Doomben this Saturday. Remember he gave Religify 6.5kg and beat him first-up, the same horse that missed by a fraction in the Group 3 BRC Sprint last weekend.
He should be stronger at the end of a mile than AMOVATIO and shapes as a rock solid each-way bet in the Group 3 Lord Mayor's Cup (Race 6).
Bet on MIGHTY LUCKY now at $5
No. 5 Surging in the Sires'
The Godolphin galloper SOUCHEZ has always looked as though he'd prefer longer distances. A two-year-old son of Lonhro that hit the line hard in the Champagne Classic a couple of weeks ago over 1,200 metres.
Stepping up to 1,350 metres in the Sires' Produce Stakes at Doomben (Race 5) looks ideal.
