Horse of the Week: Sebrina

Published: 06 Jun 2016

Clear margin - Deanne Panya strides clear on the Horse of the Week Sebrina

The muddy conditions at Rosehill last weekend called for a tough galloper that relished the wet. There were some good wins on the day, but none better than Bjorn Baker's SEBRINA, who charged clear of her rivals after taking up the lead.

Racing can play tricks on the eye and anyone watching the race would have sworn that she accelerated and sprinted clear of the pack. Looking back on the sectional times though, she simply ground the others into the Rosehill turf. They couldn't keep up with her even as she slowed down over the final two furlongs.

It was a bold performance worthy of Horse of the Week.
