Caulfield Track Guide

Track Circumference: 2,080m     Home Straight: 367m

The Caulfield race course has starting chutes for 1200m, 1400m and 2000m races. The home straight is longer than some of the tight racing circuits such as Moonee Valley and Canterbury at 367m, but not as long as Rosehill, Randwick or Flemington. When the surface is very dry there can be an on-pace bias, although on most race days there will be an even surface.

The venue itself has plenty of grassed areas for a relaxed day at the races, which run up to a central stadium with betting facilities, corporate hospitality and bars.
