Finishing off the day with an interesting contest for the fillies over 2000m, a chance for some up-and-comers to get into the Oaks next week. Early speed from WEDGIE, THE PROMISE and a couple of others should set up a FAIR to STEADY tempo. LUVALUVA is a big chance in the Oaks and clearly the best filly in the race based on recent form, but carrying 7kg more than the rest (about 7L to 8L impact) won't be easy. WEDGIE rates just as well as her after only just losing out in the Kembla Grange classic and getting a 4kg swing in her favour. Other key chances are Kiwi SHE'S A TREASURE (strong 1800m dry track win two back, solid trial since), HARMATTAN (smashing the line, could relish 2000m) and CHILLY CHA CHA (progressive and winning, can figure if races genuinely). All three with ratings at 53kg that measure right up to LUVALUVA. Possible knock-outs that could love the 2000m too are MISSYBEEL and JUNGLE FISH.
