A strong team of stayers cross the border - Reigning spearheads a Waller invasion at Moonee Valley

Smaller fields give way to some strong staying races where Sydney's all conquering trainer Chris Waller looks to play a strong hand. The likes of REIGNING, DANCHAI, SIR MAKO, BAGMAN, DIAMETRIC, OUR VOODOO PRINCE and INSTRUMENTALIST will look to get his stable off to a winning note in Melbourne. 

Some exciting horses resume including Bendigo Gold Rush victor THE BIG DANCE in Race 1 and the speedy TAWTEEN in Race 6, while punters will again await the big finish of RAPOSO in Race 7. 

The track is currently rated a SOFT 5, with light, persistent rain due to fall until Saturday ensuring the track should stay in the SOFT to HEAVY range.
