2YOs kick off midweek racing at the Kensington track. BRIGANTINE was very unlucky last prep and is clearly the horse to beat here following some impressive trials. DEVIL'S THROAT and STARMAN showed some talent at the trials too, but BRIGANTINE was quicker. Barrier trial notes; AS YOU WERE was just OK (kept on 4th in slow trial), BARANOF just OK (near pace 3rd, back quiet 6th), BIL COLYNS just OK (on-pace 3rd), BULLY FOR YOU just OK (back 8th, mid 3rd), DEVIL'S THROAT showed some talent (on-pace 3rd and 1st), DICKSON HORSE was strong (led clear 1st), GHOST HUNTER solid (on-pace 2nd), GOVERNER was solid (ran on 3rd, on-pace 1st), PUBLICIST was a little weak late (on-pace 3rd, led 2nd), RETIRO showed some dash (near pace 1st, on-pace 3rd), STARMAN was fine after winning a trial last prep (mid 8th and 6th, not asked), BRIGANTINE impressed (led 2nd, on-pace clear 1st), MARALAGO (mid chased OK 3rd).
