The handicapper plays a big role as Chris Waller and Gai Waterhouse meet head-to-head. The athletic All Cerise has been crying out for a step up in distance and she did a great job last start when 2nd to Mahara. She has to give 2kg to a smart Waterhouse gelding in Frespanol though, who looks to have bounced back to form with a strong win last start. Improvers in the race include Alpha Beat, who simply lacked the power to compete with much higher-grade sprinters first-up, and Duke Albert, a solid galloper that gets some weight relief. Don't dismiss the very game Casino Dancer and ever-consistent Timeless Prince, and even Slivovitz could sneak into a place first-up. Shout to the Top has talent, it is just hard to support him after last start, and Hunter Jack doesn't get the race conditions in his favour. The Frenchman Huet will be bold, can the others catch him?
