A big field of mares come together for the second last of the day, the fourth big Group 1 feature. One of the toughest mares in Australia, Sweet Idea, lines up at her first attempt over 1600 metres. She has got barrier one and the heart of a warrior, but it will be tough for her to hang on this late in the day if the track has chopped up near the rails. Catkins would usually be a clear top pick, there are just some risks that she isn't quite at her best at the moment. Other key chances include the bold front-runner Solicit, who can improve back to her own sex after taking on the flying Trust In A Gust last start, while the genuine and athletic May’s Dream is sure to be running on. Neena Rock brings the best of the Sydney form lines, but there are lots of roughies in the race too. Girl Guide (always tries hard), Forever Loved (solid performer), Star Fashion (improving this prep), Mahara (a little fighter) and even Girl In Flight (up in distance helps) shouldn’t be dismissed. Diamond Drille has the class, she just might be better at a tougher track like Royal Randwick. It looks like a bookies race so tread with caution. Small bets and value might be a good way to go.
