Nash Rawiller might make a play for the lead on SONORA and the Maher-trained mare will be hard to run down if she's in the mood today. Not always the most reliable, she was better last start when riding a hot tempo over 1400m and she should get the dryish track she wants here again. CENTRESONE (often peaks over 1500m+ in Sydney) and CHARTWELL (drawn wide) have some patchy recent form. HELLFIRE EXPRESS reliable, but maybe losing James McDonald and getting onto drier ground is not ideal?
