A pretty weak looking maiden on paper. COLD GIN and SURF'S UP come out of the same maiden and whichever one handles the wet track best might get the win here. COLD GIN was a touch fizzy in the yard, but still ran very well and was unlucky not to win. Nothing else stands out as a winning chance with SYLPH likely to line up in Race 2.
